If you much prefer the look of things that appear as though they’ve been around for a while, then you probably find yourself perusing antique malls and thrift stores rather than shopping new. However, there’s a plant pot from Pottery Barn that looks like it could be a family heirloom, but because it’s new you don’t have to worry about it falling apart — your plants will thrive in it! And the best part is that the pot is currently on clearance for just over $30.

What makes the Montrose Cachepot from Pottery Barn special?

Pottery Barn’s Montrose Cachepot is a terracotta vessel featuring hand-painted birds and vines, accented with a crackle finish and faux chips. The pot comes in white with either blue or red accents and is also available in three different sizes, with the smallest one (7 inches by 6 inches) on clearance for $30. And because of their gorgeous bird emblems, this would make the perfect gift for that bird-loving, green-thumb person in your life.

The cachepots match the rest of the Montrose collection, which features candle holders, ceramic bowls, decorative vases, lamps, and candles. However, because they resemble genuine antiques, a single planter will look stunning when tucked into the rest of your secondhand collection.

It’s unclear whether these pots come with drainage holes at the bottom or not, but if they don’t then you can easily create drainage by adding a layer of pebbles or rocks to the bottom of the pot before adding your potting soil and plant.

Grab the Pottery Barn Montrose Cachepot while it’s marked down to just over $30 and get that antique look without having to purchase an actual vintage piece. It may appear to have been in use for hundreds of years, but its integrity remains strong — and it’s ready for a long life in your collection.
