From the moment I moved into my current apartment, I knew I wanted to fill it with rugs. The creaky wood floors pretty much demanded it, and I just love the color and charm they bring to a space! Of course I wanted the character of something vintage, but quickly reconsidered when I discovered how high-maintenance those antiquey rugs can be (we have a dog, after all!).

As if on cue, Ruggable debuted its collaboration with RIXO, the London-born fashion brand known for its eclectic, vintage-inspired pieces. And the rugs are just as stylish as you’d expect — they channel a ’60s-inspired boho vibe that looks like a rare Portobello Market find. So yes, they’re everything I wanted in a rug. Keep reading to see why I’m completely obsessed.

A Closer Look at the Ruggable x RIXO Collab

Whether you’re a color maximalist or partial to animal print, there’s something in this collection for every design sensibility. Most impressive is that these tufted rugs manage to look like heirloom pieces from a bygone era, but they’re made for the messes of today.

Unlike the brand’s flatwoven, two-piece rugs that require a rug pad, the RIXO rugs feature an all-in-one design with a built-in nonslip backing and a cushioned feel that’s super comfortable underfoot (although you can always add an All-In-One Rug Pad for more cushion). All I had to do was roll it out!

Because it’s Ruggable, you already know that the RIXO rugs are durable and easy-care (perfect for folks with kids or pets!). They’re stain-resistant and treated with a waterproof barrier to better protect them from spills, which means they hold up in high-traffic areas like the kitchen (that’s where I put mine!). And when it’s time for a deep clean, the rugs can go right in the washing machine.

Lion’s Cub Charcoal Multicolor Rug, 5' x 7'
$419

The Lions Cub rug was an instant favorite. Despite its dark base color, the jewel-toned pattern — complete with lions, florals, and butterflies — really pops, and helps to brighten up any room. After styling this in my own kitchen, I can confirm that the boho design is just as charming IRL.

It looks like a vintage treasure — all while feeling comfortable underfoot, which is just what I want while I'm washing dishes at my sink and preparing meals. Plus, the colorful design makes styling surprisingly easy; I can easily coordinate my dish towels to any of its bright hues!

King's Road Multicolor Rug, 5' x 7'
$419

No one does floral prints like RIXO, and the one on the Kings’ Road rug is positively dreamy with its artsy rainbow-bright print. The fashion-forward design is inspired by Pucci prints that were all the rage in the '60s, which explains its retro charm. If you want to bring a burst of energizing color to your space without painting your walls, this is the rug for you.
