While pushing through the cold, winter months at home, bringing some much-needed greenery into your space is a helpful reminder that spring is right around the corner. Luckily, Sam’s Club got the memo.

Right now, the department store is selling one of the most popular houseplants ever on its warehouse floors. It’s the coveted fiddle leaf fig tree, and it will make your space feel so much brighter and warmer as soon as you bring it through the door. The best part? Its price: under $40.

“This beautiful Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree is such a statement plant for brightening up your space,” the creator behind the @samsclubfavorites wrote in a recent Instagram caption. “With big glossy leaves and a full, healthy look, it instantly makes a room feel more elevated and fresh. It’s a great option if you want greenery that actually stands out without much effort! ($36.98).”

Another content creator (Tamara’s Bargains) caught a first look at new foliage at Sam’s Club, adding: “I love when Sam’s Club gets their plants; they are so pretty and very reasonably priced.”

How to Care for a Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree

Fiddle leaf figs have trended across social media for years now because they’re just so beautiful, lush, and a crowning achievement — that’s if you’re able to keep yours looking healthy. These plants are a bit finicky and require some special care, but once you have them in the right spot, they’ll take off and quickly become the star of the show. (You don’t have to get a faux option!)

The secret? These trees prefer bright, filtered sunlight and a warm, humid climate. Place your fiddle leaf near a window with a sheer curtain and run a humidifier to keep it super happy and thriving.

It also needs to be planted in soil with excellent drainage and watered every 10 days or so when the soil gets thoroughly dry. You can also bring your fiddle leaf outside during the summer months to let it really soak in the sun and warmth.

If you don’t have a Sam’s Club near you, you can pick up a fiddle leaf fig from The Home Depot. These plants ship out when they’re around 2 to 3 feet tall and come in a ceramic planter that’s ready for display. Although they’re not as large as the Sam’s Club version, just give your Home Depot fiddle leaf a bit of time, and it will sprout beautifully.

Beat the winter blues with a bit of green. Pick up a fiddle leaf fig tree from Sam’s Club or The Home Depot to grow your plant collection and make your home feel a bit more like summer despite the deep freeze outside.
