Unexpected Details Are Everywhere in the Wildly Fun LA Home of Two Besties (and a Bunny!)
“We’d been searching for about six months, moving from the west side of LA to Silver Lake, and were incredibly picky — only chasing homes that really felt right. Which, we quickly realized, was harder than we expected,” content creator Josie Francis begins. Josie, Nicole Agner, and bunny, Phoebe, have been living in this 1,200-square-foot rental home in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, for two years.

“We toured around 12 places with not much excitement along the way … then this one popped up. Since we had our notifications on for most of the home rental apps, we saw the listing the second it was posted. We showed up to the open house the next day and ended up staying for over an hour, already imagining how we’d live in every corner,” Josie continues.
Originally built in 1920, the house has been carefully renovated and added on to by the owners, according to Josie and Nicole. “From the street it’s sweet and unassuming; inside, the modern addition unfolds. That contrast is really what hooked us,” Josie describes.
“The owners had done a thoughtful remodel and expansion, adding contemporary architecture onto the original bones. Our favorite spot is the open living room/kitchen with sliding envelope doors that disappear into an enclosed, quiet backyard. This home checked every box; we were giddy. We still say it all the time: We’re lucky, and we love this place.”
Along with creating a very cool home together, the two friends also run a community practice together called Fuzz & Fuzz; they call their home the “Fuzz House.”
