This Brilliant $15 Gem Makes It Easy to Dry Storage Bags (It’s So Practical!)
I’ve been slowly growing my collection of reusable storage bags over the last few years — all in hopes of reducing (or even eliminating) the need for single-use storage bags. One brand I’ve had for a long time is Stasher, and I love using their reusable bags and silicone stretch lids.
Reusable bags like these require cleaning between uses, and cleaning them is easy, but letting them dry on a rack has always been a struggle for me. The bags would always dry faster on the outside than they would on the inside (probably because there’s less airflow inside), which meant I’d have to leave them out longer until they were fully dry. Fortunately the company came up with a clever solution that’s also eco-friendly! Enter: the bamboo drying rack.
What Is the Bamboo Drying Rack from Stasher?
Stasher partnered with Zefiro, a woman-owned company, to create a completely compostable and portable rack that’s made of bamboo. It’s great for air-drying all the reusable bag offerings from Stasher, like its 10-pack starter kit. In total, it can fit up to seven bags and three to four bowls.
Why I Love This Bamboo Drying Rack
I love how easy it is to set up the bamboo rack on your counter (I like to place it right by my sink) and then disassemble and put it away in a cabinet when you’re not using it. It’s such a simple and sleek design, but it’s brilliant in its construction and practical usage.
The bamboo rack takes up minimal space too, which is another thing I really like about it, but it can still dry a lot of bags at once. You can even drape the silicone stretch lids over the dowels to dry them out if you want, but placing them in a regular dish drying rack is fine as well. Overall the bamboo rack has cut down on the length of drying time for my reusable bags, as they each have enough airflow around and inside of them.
