Officially opened in spring 2021, the Charmed Resort in Crowsnest Pass, Alberta is a family-owned and operated campground complete with unique and intricate storybook cottages where guests can live out their most whimsical vacation dreams. Each cottage is inspired by fictional stories and characters from popular folklore such as Rumpelstiltskin, Shakespeare’s classic “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” Rapunzel, Hansel and Gretel, and more. The Leavitt family first started their business in 2015 by selling playhouses, eventually expanding their vision to create a vacation destination. Bookings begin at $295 a night and the accommodations certainly rival any themed hotel out there — but unlike most family-friendly attractions, you won’t be battling crowds and long lines here. Instead, you’ll enjoy amenities aplenty including a private fire pit and wood-fired hot tub in each cottage, nearby outdoor adventures (including hiking, swimming, skiing, or biking), and so much more. 

Each pet-friendly cottage sleeps up to six people, and aside from being far more comfy than the average campground, they’re the perfect respite from everyday life for fairytale lovers of all ages.
