The Hallway (and Its Art Collection) Is the Most Surprising Room in This Portland Apartment
Before moving in to this 900-square-foot rental in Portland, Oregon, interior designer Martha Roark described it as a “builder-grade apartment with beautiful, large windows, and a great canvas with neutral walls.”
Martha shares the two-bedroom apartment with her husband, Daniel, and their golden retriever, Murphy. “We love this space because it provides so much natural light (we live in a corner unit) for not only our living spaces but for my husband’s art studio,” she writes.
The designer says she loves to mix old and new. “My home to me feels cozy, collected, and intentional. I love to work with a range of interests, and I believe our home reflects that, from my husband’s fine art, to Star Wars art, to various items we have collected traveling or thrifting,” she writes.
