Anyone who has gotten married or even considered getting married knows that a wedding can be endlessly expensive. Even before you get engaged, there’s the engagement ring to think about. Not only is there no upper limit to how much they can cost, but even figuring out their prices in the first place can be just as frustrating as getting a quote from a car dealer.

But it’s important to remember that you have lots of options if you want to keep with the engagement ring tradition. You can choose a non-diamond stone, a vintage ring, or an alternative ring not even sold as an engagement ring. You can pass down a family ring, have a ring made by a local artisan, or go for a tattoo. Or, you can shop for a ring at a store you may not have even realized sells engagement rings: Costco.

That’s right, the warehouse store that offers reliably great deals on things like vacuum cleaners, TVs, and La Croix also has a sizable selection of diamond engagement rings with prices clearly laid out so you don’t have to browse a long list of stone specs, then choose a band, then figure out how much they cost together.

Online, the rings are easy to browse by attributes including clarity, color, and stone shape, and options range from understated solitaires to blinged-out rings covered in side stones. Because these are diamond rings, they’re still not cheap. Online, they range from $750 to $25,000, and most cost at least $2,000. (Earlier this year, someone bought a ring at Costco for $400,000.)

So if you’re in the market for a diamond engagement ring, consider Costco. If all else fails, you’ll leave with a belly full of samples and maybe an excellent deal on socks.
