By far, the least fun part of having a pool is cleaning it. From fallen leaves to algae buildup to … whatever that bug is, pool maintenance is one task we’re more than happy to let the robots take charge of. Specifically, this robot.

The Beatbot AquaSense 2 Ultra is a breakthrough in pool maintenance and technological design, with state-of-the-art precision and a sleek aesthetic that make it an exciting new option for effortless pool maintenance. The AquaSense 2 Ultra uses industry-first features and advanced AI technology to keep your pool sparkling. But what does that mean, exactly? Let’s break it down.

What does the Beatbot AquaSense 2 Ultra do?

A little bit of everything. The AquaSense 2 Ultra is the only robot pool cleaner on the market with a 5-in-1 cleaning system that uses 11 (!) motors to tackle every part of your pool. It handles surface skimming, waterline scrubbing, floor cleaning, wall scrubbing, and even water clarification. (We’re tired just listing all that.) It’s compatible with all pool types, including concrete, vinyl, ceramic tile, and fiberglass.

How does the AquaSense 2 Ultra map my pool?

With advanced AI technology: The robot’s HybridSense™ Pool Mapping is an industry-first combination of AI camera, infrared sensors, and ultrasonic sensors. Translation: This combination allows the robot to accurately scan and map the pool and adapt to various environments, like irregular shapes. The AquaSense 2 Ultra also improves upon traditional pool cleaners, including older AquaSense models, by being able to autonomously detect and clean multi-level platforms.

How does it clean?

After mapping, the AquaSense 2 Ultra starts cleaning the pool floor, using two differently shaped paths for thorough removal of dirt and stains. Next, the robot uses its advanced climbing capabilities to scrub both the walls and the waterline, which it does twice during each wall-climbing cycle.

Finally, the AquaSense 2 Ultra tackles surface debris. With a main brush and rotating dual side brushes, it’s able to generate water flow and sweep debris from the sides in toward the central debris intake. The machine’s AI capabilities also help it target debris and accurately scan and identify what’s in its path: The robot can tell a redbud leaf from a sycamore leaf, and is learning new identifications all the time.

How loud is it?

Just 50 decibels: quieter than a humming fridge. That’s why Joe Manganiello is famously a fan of the AquaSense 2 Ultra: It doesn’t bother his noise-sensitive pup, Bubbles. (Actually, Bubbles likes to follow it around the pool, which is officially the cutest thing we’ve ever heard.) So even while the robot is working, your poolside area can still be a sanctuary.

How does it keep the water clean? Is it safe?

From cloudy water to harsh chemicals, keeping pool water clear can be tricky, but not for the AquaSense 2 Ultra. It uses Beatbot’s exclusive ClearWater™ Clarification System to automatically and evenly dispense a natural, skin-safe, and eco-friendly clarifier. (Fun fact: It’s derived from recycled crab shells!) This system — which works four times faster than traditional options — removes dirt, oils, and metal residues and prevents scum buildup and discoloration, so the water always looks inviting.

How do I operate the AquaSense 2 Ultra?

All you really need to do is gently lower it into the water. But you can customize your cleaning experience with the AquaSense 2 Ultra app: Use it to view your pool’s cleaning paths, activate or schedule the system according to your needs, and adjust the robot’s speed and direction on the water’s surface.

When the robot is finished cleaning, it will intelligently park near the wall for easy retrieval. It stays in that spot for 20 minutes, at which point it will power down its propellers to conserve battery life. If it drifts away, just tap the parking button in the app to call it back to the edge — no getting in the pool to chase it down.

How will it fit into my poolside aesthetic?

Way better than that slimy skimmer leaning against your fence. The AquaSense 2 Ultra has a bionic design inspired by marine life, with a streamlined shape made to evoke a turtle’s back. (This also reduces “visual weight” by minimizing water resistance during operation.) The design balances aesthetics and practicality, with a minimalist user interface and uniform color and texture for a sleek, subtle profile. Plus, the AquaSense 2 Ultra is the first robot pool cleaner to incorporate IMR automotive-grade diaphragm technology. Translation: The finish is hard as nails, with a durable, anti-scratch surface that stays looking sharp.

What if something breaks?

By the time it gets to your pool, the AquaSense 2 Ultra has already undergone more than 15 certifications and 200 quality checks. But should anything happen, it also comes with a three-year warranty with full machine replacement.
