People Are So Excited These $13 Trader Joe’s Florals Are Finally Back
In my opinion, the day peonies return to Trader Joe’s should be designated as a national holiday. These flowers are just so beautiful, and they deserve recognition! All that means that I’m thrilled, because peonies are officially back at Trader Joe’s, so even though there’s no national holiday, you can celebrate in your own way (by stocking up on all the colors for every single room in the house).
“THEY’RE BACKKKKKKK,” Chelsea from Trader Joe’s Flowers on Instagram wrote in a recent caption. “OUR FAVORITES PEONIES!!!!!!! HAVE RETURNED TO TRADER JOES SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT. Swipe to see the picture text I got from my sister scoring peonies at Trader Joe’s today!!”
What Makes Trader Joe’s Peonies So Special?
Trader Joe’s has mastered the art of peony growing. The store has some of the best, most fluffy blooms you can find and different varieties, like the famous peony tulips that are a mix of both spring flowers. And the best part? You can grab five peony stems for just $12.99.
Chelsea also has a few tips for getting the most out of your Trader Joe’s peonies. First, she recommends grabbing “closed but fluffy marshmallow buds” to ensure you’re picking the freshest, newest flowers.
“To prolong life you can put [them] in [the] refrigerator overnight to keep them cool,” she continued in the caption of another recent post. “Peonies prefer cold environments.”
Alternatively, if you need the blooms to open faster, trim the stems and place them in warm water to spring them into action.
She notes that peonies have shorter blooming periods, unlike other flowers, so just enjoy them while you can. “They are not meant to last long at all!” she wrote. “Just enjoy them and take pictures. Lots!!! As they open and fade. It’s beautiful.”
These Trader Joe’s peonies would make an excellent gift for Mother’s Day, and when you grab a bouquet for Mom, treat yourself to a few stems, too. They’re fluffy, come in the most gorgeous pink and white colors, and are a true sign that spring is in full bloom. Grab your annual peony bouquet now before they’re gone.
