The Cutest Table Lamp I Own Is Actually Shaped Like a Piece of Fruit

I write about house tours (but I love a good kitchen and kids' room article). My work can be found across AT Media, including The Kitchn and Cubby. I’ve been writing about home-related topics for nearly five years and love seeing how people make their homes unique.

It’s funny how a simple moment in life can spark years of fond memories, isn’t it? Let me explain. My name is Cullen, but my close friends call me “Cherry” because, once upon a time, I wore a white tank top with the word “cherry” on it and broke out into a very memorable surprise karaoke performance. My friends started calling me Cherry that night — and it stuck.

But it’s not just a new nickname that I adopted; it’s also stuff. My former editor made me a ceramic jewelry dish with a cherry on it. My childhood best friend designed a beautiful necklace with the letters spelled out. My future mother-in-law even gifted me some slippers with the fruit embroidered on them. Every time I’m given a Cherry-related gift, I feel so seen.

So when my little brother bought me the gorgeous Urban Outfitters cherry table lamp last holiday season, I was touched. While I love my sibling, it’s been the norm for us to get each other more gag gifts, but — to me — this change in the caliber of gift-giving cemented a more mature, thoughtful period of our relationship. And, not to mention, it’s the most stylish lamp I’ve ever seen.

It doesn’t come with a lightbulb (I bought one on Amazon!), but once one was installed it gave off the moodiest red glow. Whether it’s on or off, it’s always a conversation-starter. It looks like an art piece. I’m not alone in thinking this, either.

Saraa, a content creator, bought one for her space, too. Over 45,000 people liked the video, and the most frequently used word I spotted in the comments was “cute.” For example, one commenter said, “That is the cutest lamp I have ever seen in my entire life.”

Unfortunately, it’s currently sold out on the Urban Outfitters website. However, you can join a waitlist to get it when it’s back in stock. Knowing how beloved this lamp is and that cherry-themed decor is on the rise, it likely won’t be long before it’s restocked.
