This “Gorgeous” Patio Set Transformed My Small Balcony — And It’s $105 Off Right Now!

My apartment may be tiny and have no dishwasher, but it does have a balcony going for it. I desperately wanted an outdoor space of my own for years, but after moving to New York City I put that dream on the back burner. It’s hard enough to find a reasonably priced apartment (if there is such a thing here) with basic amenities, so I assumed the chances of finding one with a balcony were pretty much nonexistent.

Somehow, I hit the apartment jackpot last summer. With so much cold weather, I only get a few months of use out of my new balcony throughout the year — but I make it count. I think that a balcony is only as good as its outdoor furniture, so I spent a while looking for something that would fit in the small space, look stylish, feel comfortable, and not cost a ton of money. It wasn’t easy, but I finally found Walmart’s Walsunny 2-Piece Patio Furniture Set — and it checked every single one of my boxes.

On sale for just $125, this coastal-looking patio furniture set definitely appears more expensive than it is — but more importantly, it’s also more sturdy than you might assume from its price. The frame is made of iron, and the sides of the loveseat are woven and wrapped in rattan. The coffee table is too, with the addition of a glass top. The sofa also features high-elastic sponge cushions, which have white-colored covers that can be removed and washed.

You can also easily squeeze the set into a small space: the loveseat measures 44.5 inches long and 25.2 inches deep, and the coffee table measures 35.4 inches long and 19.7 inches wide. A three-piece version with two chairs and a side table is also on sale for slightly more ($200).

I looked for weeks for an outdoor loveseat that would match the narrow width of my balcony, and I was shocked that the pickings were so slim. The rare ones I found that weren’t too big ended up being out of my price range. Then I took my search to Walmart, and Walsunny’s gorgeous patio set immediately seemed too good to be true. I was wary of the white cushions, but its size and look were exactly what I wanted — for under $100, no less!

I’m so glad I took the chance. When it arrived, I found that the set looked identical to its photos online. The rattan detailing and light colors brighten up my balcony, and I would even say they make it look bigger than it is. Next to my outdoor rug and yellow pillows, it creates the boho vibe that I was going for.

It still looks cute eight months after setting everything up — and speaking of, my grandparents helped me with assembly and we had no problems. I’ve used a waterproof cover to protect the white cushions from the brunt of the winter weather, but during the summer, they were rained on a few times and dried out quickly. There’s also no sign of fading or sun damage (which is one pro of having white cushions).

The cushions themselves aren’t what I would consider plush, but I’ve curled up on the sofa for a good couple of hours at a time without getting uncomfortable — especially when I’m propped up by my outdoor pillows. The huge surface area of the coffee table has been a plus whenever I’ve eaten outside or had guests, and the extra shelf underneath has been an unexpected lifesaver (I put my ottoman there whenever my balcony gets crowded!).

Now that spring is in full bloom, I couldn’t recommend grabbing this patio set — along with the waterproof cover I tested — enough. There’s also no telling how long the $105 discount will be live, so I would also grab it sooner rather than later!
