Laura is the kind of person that loves simple things and enjoys the little pleasures. She’s an extraordinary artist who draws sweet portraits and makes art with soft colors. The workspace she uses for creating amazing illustrations is a beautiful room filled with art, neutral colors and the most incredible tiles in the world.
Always looking for natural materials, she enjoys being surrounded by crayons, blocks, brushes and making art pieces with them. The light is her inspiration—soft, sweet and warm light.
She wants a place where she can work but also entertain friends or clients— where they can relax and share the space with her. The room has a kind of harmony that invites you to stay calm. Laura loves to work here. She doesn’t have too many things, just what’s necessary. Plants are a really important component; she thinks you can never have too many and that they give a lot of personality to a place. Without doubt, she has created an inspirational and creative space where she can enjoy her big passion: painting.
Apartment Therapy Survey:
My Style: Simple, practical and harmonic.
Inspiration: Found inspiration in spaces with natural and artisanal elements. Neutral colors and tons of light.
Favorite Element: The big table, it’s impossible not to work there.
Biggest Challenge: Having a lot of materials (paint, brushes, blocks, crayons, etc.) Not having chaos around and having everything in hand to be easy to work with.
What Friends Say: They love it. Actually some of them always wanna come to work here.
Biggest Embarrassment: Computer cables. Hate it.
Proudest DIY: The pottery. Made by my mum years ago. It’s the biggest treasure I have in here.
Biggest Indulgence: The light. It’s amazing to work in here with this beautiful and sweet light.
Best Advice: Always use neutral colors that harmonize with each other. Play with the elements for put some touch of colors. And plants; there are NEVER too many plants.
Dream Sources: Love IKB 191.
