This Tiny Storage Cart Works So Well, I Want One in Every Room
A few weeks ago, when one of my friends visited my apartment for the first time, she complimented — to my pleasant surprise — my bathroom more than anything else. It’s by no means the most gorgeous area of my apartment, but I’ve maximized every last inch of it, which she commended me for. I have a narrow rolling cart for toiletries pressed against one wall, and a towel rack above that. There are also organizers galore underneath my sink, which she couldn’t see, but my bathroom would fall apart without.
I didn’t think there was much else I could do to create more storage, but I knew if anything would work, it would be Yamazaki’s Tower Rolling Bathroom Organizer. It’s ultra-slim, taking up barely any floor space, and it keeps everything it contains out of sight. With how much it has going for it, I’m seriously debating grabbing another one to serve as a small-space-friendly nightstand.
What Is the Yamazaki Tower Rolling Bathroom Organizer?
I already have another Yamazaki organizer in my bathroom — its washcloth holder is a miracle worker — so I’m always keeping an eye on the brand’s product releases. When I found out Yamazaki put a new spin on its tower bathroom organizer, I just knew it was the finishing touch that my bathroom needed.
Unlike the original model, it has wheels for easy transport, and it also allows you to access items quickly and hide them from view again, all while barely lifting a finger. Standing a little over 31 inches tall, it also offers three tiers. The middle shelf is magnetic, so you can adjust it however you like. At 6.3 inches wide, it’s perfect for stacking rolls of toilet paper or hiding your toilet brush or plunger.
Why I Love the Yamazaki Tower Rolling Bathroom Organizer
If you have more room than I do, you could likely slide this organizer on the side of your toilet, where it would barely be noticeable if not for how well it declutters the rest of your bathroom. I, on the other hand, had to go with plan B, placing it right next to my other rolling cart out in the open. When turned around facing the wall, the unit blends right in with the white tile.
With my under-sink area being entirely full, I’ve been struggling with storing toilet paper for months. I’d even resorted to shoved extras in a kitchen cabinet, which is not ideal. This organizer completely solved that problem, and it’s always accessible thanks to the smooth wheels. It’s a welcome bonus that the magnetic shelf provided a home for my retainer cleaning tablets and box of daily contacts. The top is the perfect width for the makeup brush holder I use to protect my toothbrush, so it also frees up some counter space.
It Also Works As a Nightstand
This cart is so useful in my bathroom that I’m not eager to ever move it, but then I started thinking about how perfect it would be as a nightstand. My bed has just under a foot of space next to it, and let me tell you, it was difficult to find an 8-inch wide nightstand for it. I ended up finding one on Facebook Marketplace — someone had it custom-made on Etsy — but I wish I’d had this cart sooner.
I tried it out as a nightstand for a couple of days, and it didn’t take long to impress me. Rotated to face the wall, it makes the rest of my space look neater. All it takes is a little spin and I can reach my sound machine and pillow spray, or my phone when it sits on the middle shelf, charging. The wheels also help when I’m making my bed and need to reach the corner of my mattress; I can just push it out of the way without lifting it.
I’m torn on where I should keep this versatile organizer, and if that’s not a sign that it’s a fantastic product, I don’t know what is. Regardless of where it ends up living, I’m planning on grabbing some magnetic hooks and squeezing even more storage out of it!
