This Brilliant Insect Trap Gets 2x the Amount of Bugs in My House (It’s That Good!)
There’s almost always fresh fruit in my kitchen, whether it’s berries in my fridge or bananas or tropical fruit on my counter. And while I love having fresh fruit around all the time, the unfortunate thing is, so do bugs. Fruit flies and gnats are seemingly always hovering around — especially during the hot summer months.
There are a lot of preventative and proactive measures I have in place to minimize the amount of bugs: I leave out vinegar traps, try to take out the trash as often as possible, and have bug traps plugged into the wall all year long. The bug trap I love to use is the Zevo Flying Insect Trap.
It’s a great plug-in trap that helps minimize the amount of bugs in my house. I currently have two — one situated beside the sliding door in my open-concept living room, and another plugged into an outlet by the kitchen counter. It might seem excessive, especially because they are 10 feet apart from each other, but they help tackle a large area that needs double the bug-trapping strength.
So when I got a chance to test out the latest offering from Zevo, the Zevo Max Flying Insect Trap, which can capture two times the amount of bugs as the original (so it’s like having two devices in one!), I was instantly sold.
What Is the Zevo Max Flying Insect Trap?
The Zevo Max Flying Insect Trap is a trap that uses blue and UV light to attract flying insects and a powerful adhesive pad that’s disposable to catch bugs discreetly. Unlike the original, this Max version is a circular device with a five-foot cord that you plug into an outlet. The light also extends to 360 degrees, as there are two cartridges in the Max (versus the original, which has one cartridge, is plugged directly into the wall, and can only cover 180 degrees).
Why I Swear By the Zevo Max Flying Insect Trap
I like to use the Zevo Max Flying Insect Trap in a spot midway between my kitchen and living room. My home is open-concept, so it’s a massive area for flies and bugs to come into — not to mention, there are a number of access points for them (my garage door, front door, and sliding door).
The Zevo Max Flying Insect Trap is best to use in large open spaces and can capture everything from fruit flies to gnats to house flies and more. I have even seen mosquitoes be caught in the trap, which is great for a mosquito magnet like me. I’ll spare you the gross photographic proof of just how many bugs this trap can get, but believe me — it really does fill up.
What I really like about the Max is that because it has adhesive pads on two sides, bugs are unable to escape the trap once they get inside. They’ll fly either left or right to get away, but end up stuck instead. With the original Zevo trap there is opportunity for them to escape by army-crawling out of there against the wall (which doesn’t happen often, but has happened).
Now, with the Zevo Max Flying Insect Trap, I can capture double the amount of bugs in just one simple device. I don’t even need the other two plug-in Zevo Flying Insect Traps and can give them away to friends or family — but I just might keep them and put them in other rooms in my house!
