Looking into sunny kitchen from backyard garden.

Few things in the design world are both trendy and timeless, but wicker, a weaving process of (usually!) rattan, is one of them. Wicker furniture feels like eternal summer. Our Home Editor, Cullen Ormond, says it reminds her of time spent at her grandparents’ coastal home during warmer months. Well, it’s finally summertime — and if you want your plants to have a wicker moment, consider this gorgeous Anthropologie find.

Anthropologie’s Scalloped Wicker Plant Stand Is Timeless

If you’ve been tuned in to the home decor trend sphere for a while, then you know that scalloping and wicker have been all the rage for spring and summer, and Anthropologie’s scalloped wicker plant stand combines both of those trends. It’s a woven plant stand made from Bangkuang vine and wire, and it features a scalloped edge at the top. And even though it combines two trends, it looks timeless and even antique.

This is because scalloped edges and wicker are design elements that’ve been around for thousands of years. Although they’re in fashion right now, they’re timeless because they’ve been popular before and will continue to be for decades to come.

The Anthropologie Scalloped Wicker plant stand measures about 21 inches tall and can be displayed either indoors or outdoors. The stand can hold a pot that measures 13 inches wide and would be ideal for vining plants or plants with lush foliage. It should be noted that it doesn’t come with an interior drainage tray, so make sure you have a tray or plate that fits to keep water from damaging the natural wicker. Reviewers noted that the price tag was also cheaper than other options.

“I had been looking for a wicker plant stand for a while when I found this one,” one Anthropologie shopper wrote in their review. “It marries quality and cost compared to others that were $400+.” Another person wrote, “This will make any plant-lover happy. It looks great and well-made. Love it.”

You can play with trends without investing in a piece that will go out of style in six months. This plant stand from Anthropologie is the perfect blend of trendiness and timelessness that you’ll keep on display for so many years to come.
