Last weekend I stopped by my local T.J. Maxx in search of a few final touches for my tablescape for my Halloween party. I love shopping at Marshall’s and T.J. Maxx for cute cups and servingware, and while I unfortunately struck out in the Halloween department on this trip, I struck gold for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

A little birdie told me that all of T.J. Maxx’s best holiday merchandise really hits the shelves in October, so I shouldn’t have been surprised by this. But when I say “struck gold,” I mean in every sense. Out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of gold, and I fell in love with these Bella Lux bow dinner plates at first sight.

I thought perhaps I took a wrong turn and wandered into an Anthropologie — these plates seriously look like something straight out of a catalogue, or a designer’s own holiday spread!

What We Love About the Bella Lux Hand-Painted Bow Plates

While I was first drawn in by their shiny gold detailing, I quickly noticed that these stoneware plates were really high-quality for the price. I was shocked by their price tag — just $29.99 for a set of four. They look like they would be at least $30 each anywhere else.

I also love the organic shape of these gorgeous plates. Paired with a shiny glaze, it makes them look just that much more luxe, and gives them a hand-crafted feel. The gold trim and bow accents are indeed hand-painted, meaning no two are exactly the same. As someone who likes a hand-crafted and vintage vibe — especially for their holiday decorations — these could not be more perfect.

These plates would certainly make a statement on the table, and they’re perfect for anyone who plans to host a holiday dinner this fall or winter. You could really use these year-round, too — and I noticed online they also carry the sets in black and red colorways, which would be even more versatile. As an apartment-dweller, I don’t really have the room to store lots of seasonal dishware that would only be used once a year, so versatility is a huge plus in my book.

I can also see the smaller size being a great host gift! They’ll never guess you scored the whole set of four for less than $20. So don’t wait: Make the trip to your local T.J. Maxx today, because I have a feeling these beauties are going to sell out long before the holidays.
