Emma Dangel

I’m a writer and creative from Boston, MA, and I cover Style at Apartment Therapy. I studied Media, Culture and Communications at NYU, with a minor in English Literature. I loved school, and I’ve always been fascinated with the written word and the art of storytelling. After graduation, I started here at Apartment Therapy Media on the Marketing & Brand Partnerships team — and the rest is history! In my current role as Style Editor, I love connecting with readers and scouting out stories; I’ve even worked on some special projects, like Small/Cool NYC and The New/Next List. I’m always looking for inspiration, and working to bring our content to life in new ways.

I’m now based in Brooklyn, where I share an apartment with my (spirited) senior cat, Phoebe. I’m super proud of the space I’ve created for myself and love to share it with friends and family — and now, with readers on Apartment Therapy, too! From collecting and restoring vintage furniture to replacing light fixtures or building radiator covers, I don’t shy away from a DIY; I’ll stop at nothing to bring my visions to life.

When I’m not covering style or sharpening my circular saw, you might find me playing piano, knitting, sewing, or sharing a meal with friends — or very often on the hunt for inspiration around New York.
