As summer turns to fall, I’m all about making my home as cozy as possible. I’m talking chunky blankets, warm lighting, and maybe a cinnamon-scented candle or two. IKEA is my go-to source for affordable seasonal decor, because where else can you refresh a whole room for under $50?

That said, sifting through all of IKEA’s seasonal goodies and choosing just a few on a budget is no easy feat. That’s why I tapped two design pros to find out which fall decor pieces they would add to their carts at IKEA with just $50 each to spend. Below, designer Samantha McDivitt, principal and founder of Samantha Jane Interiors, and Arianna Castro, founder and lead designer of Interiors by AC, share their top picks.

3 IKEA Items Designer Samantha McDivitt Loves

HÖSTAGILLE Vase
$5

The warm auburn color of this vase gives a classic fall feel to this modern silhouette, and the ombré finish elevates this vase from simple to striking. “It’s eye-catching enough to style on its own but also works beautifully with seasonal stems,” says McDivitt. And because the vase costs just under $5, you don’t have to stop at one.

VALLKRASSING Throw
$20

As the temperatures drop, a classic neutral throw that looks as good as it feels is a cozy seasonal must-have. “The Vallkrassing throw is one of my favorite repeat purchases from IKEA,” McDivitt says. “Soft, versatile, and beautifully two-toned, it’s an easy swap to bring in a richer fall palette and instantly adds warmth to a sofa or armchair.” This cotton muslin throw comes in four different colorways, so you’re sure to find one that fits your personal style.

HÖSTAGILLE Serving Bowl
$25

If you’re looking to add that seasonal flair to your dining room table or kitchen island, this sculptural stoneware bowl will do just that. Aside from the chic silhouette, “the matte finish pairs beautifully with autumnal tones — think: pumpkin bread, spiced nuts, or a vibrant beet salad against the neutral backdrop,” says McDivitt.

3 IKEA Shopping Picks from Designer Arianna Castro

SILVERPÄRON Candlestick
$10

Autumn kicks off the hosting season, which means pretty tablescapes become a necessity — and no tablescape is complete without candles. This sleek candle stand offers so much bang for your buck because it’ll instantly elevate any table setting and “create a high-end fall mood,” says Castro, and all for under $10. For extra warmth and drama, Castro recommends pairing it with IKEA’s CONTORTATALL chandelier candle in the brown-red shade.

HÖSTAGILLE Scented Candle
$9

Seasonal smells are just as evocative as seasonal colors and textures, and nothing says sweater season quite like a whiff of pumpkin spice. “I love that this candle feels perfect for the season but still stylish enough to leave out beyond the holidays,” says Castro. Housed in a cute pumpkin-shaped glass container (that you could reuse as a candy bowl once the wax is cleaned out), this candle has a 40-hour burn time — which means it will make your home smell delicious all season long.

HÄCKPOPPEL Decorative Bowl
$25

If you’re looking for a statement piece that offers a designer look on a budget, look no further. This glass footed bowl in rich brown tones is as versatile as it is striking. “This piece is perfect for layering seasonal accents like fresh fruit, pine cones, or decorative objects. The irregular sculptural shape and rich brown color make it feel chic while still being practical for everyday use,” says Castro.
