If you haven’t noticed yet, sardines are everywhere right now. Italian coastal summer decor and fashion have been a trend for a while, and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon (the same goes for food decor!). But if you’re feeling a bit tired of sardines, then take a page from Gwyneth Paltrow’s book and partake in your version of the trend.

In a recent Instagram post, Paltrow showed off a fish-inspired coffee mug, and it’s from a small business you need to put on your radar. The Goop founder often posts content preparing breakfast, and in her most recent video, Paltrow starts by pouring herself a fresh cup of coffee into a mug with an adorable little cod fish on the front.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s SKT Ceramics Mug Is So Summery

The mug is from a Cincinnati-based brand called SKT Ceramics, which was founded by illustrator Susannah Tisue. Together with a team of talented ceramicists and fellow illustrators, SKT creates simple, modern pieces that showcase original art.

The brand doesn’t currently have the cod design Paltrow has in stock online, but you can create a made-to-order mug with the cod design on it, and you can even choose your glaze color!

Or if you’re just really digging the hand-painted look, this set of Mackenzie-Childs mugs will scratch that itch (times four!).

Do as Paltrow does and buck the sardine trend with a fresh take. These fish mugs are both trendy, but will remain timeless after the sardine hype has finally died down.
