This Unexpected Source Has a Surprisingly Good Selection of Marble Home Decor — See My Faves

Marble is often associated with luxury, but it’s actually one of those things that you don’t realize can be accessible — as long as you know where to look, and especially if you shop it in small doses as home decor. I love a marble accent piece, whether it’s a catchall tray or a lamp with a sleek stone base, and I’ve found great examples at stores like T.J. Maxx, Michaels, and other budget retailers.

But perhaps no store’s marble home decor has impressed me recently as much as H&M’s. If you’ve been following my H&M decor callouts, you’ll know I visited my local store in Midtown Manhattan not long ago and was blown away by just how chic and trendy its offerings are. I specifically saw four marble gems that not only look super bougie, but are also totally functional too.

H&M’s marble decor comes in a variety of sizes and colors, so if you’re in the market for a coffee table centerpiece or a convenient spot to store your keys in your entryway, these finds will get the job done (and look great doing it). The best part is, I held all of them — and they felt thick and durable. For the prices, what you’re getting is worth it.

Although this light beige pedestal bowl was tucked under a display table surface, it immediately caught my attention. It comes in this large size and also a smaller size. The bigger bowl would make a great fruit bowl that you’ll look forward to displaying on the kitchen counter or breakfast table. If you go with the smaller bowl (hurry, it’s selling fast!), you could use it as a trinket dish for things like jewelry, matches, and change. The elevated design aspect makes these so much more eye-catching than your basic catchall tray or dish. 

This 7-inch mirror could be used as a practical vanity piece, but I almost love it more for a bookshelf. Maybe you need a spot to check your makeup before running out the door in the morning, and you hate having to go back into your bathroom. Prop this number up on an entryway shelf, and your problem is solved. Although glass is obviously fragile, the hefty marble base on this item helps keep it secure on any surface, so I think it’s a safe buy even if you have pets that like to knock things over.

Who doesn’t love a funky taper candle holder? I see so many cool ones that it’s hard to decide which one I would actually want to buy. But this $25 option is definitely up there. There were more styles when I looked at it in the store, but this appears to be the only one left. So, if you like it, be sure to grab it fast. Don’t forget to grab some candles for it, too!

H&M has a few different marble tray styles. This one is actually the first decor item I picked up and held in the store. It’s wide and heavy and would make a wonderful addition to a coffee table for corralling TV remotes, tissues, candles, and more. I could also see it on a dresser holding perfumes or sunglasses — the usage options are endless. Although I viewed the tray in dark gray marble, I like the white version even more. It’ll instantly brighten any dull area in your home.

No matter which of these dazzling marble finds you like most, you’ll want to order it fast because H&M’s inventory is notoriously fast-selling. In any case, your favorite surfaces are in for a low-lift but incredibly chic upgrade!
