This New IKEA Stoneware Kitchen Gem Looks So Much More Expensive than Just $6
It’s time to give your kitchen a mini makeover! IKEA just launched a brand-new line called BRUGDHAJ, and pieces from the collection are already going viral on social media. That includes stylish olive oil dispensers that are giving major Le Creuset vibes, but will only set you back just $5.99.
TikTok user @deco_naya posted her haul of IKEA’s new BRUGDHAJ pieces earlier this week, and the video has since blown up. She picked up three of the olive oil dispensers for her collection of oils and vinegars, then added her own labels to them.
The BRUGDHAJ oil/vinegar bottles are made from durable stoneware and come in either a beige or dark blue glaze. The metal dispenser portion is held in place with a silicone seal, and the flap at the top opens by itself when you go to drizzle the bottle’s contents. Plus, it only stands just over seven inches tall, which makes it perfect for smaller kitchens (especially if you stock up on multiple!) and easier to handle than other cruets.
“Go IKEA!!!!!!!!” one person commented on @deco_naya’s post. Another person wrote, “Finally, opaque containers, it was time! Because olive oil in transparent glass stressed me out.”
It’s true — olive oil should be stored in an opaque container to preserve its flavor and retain nutrients. Exposure to UV rays will actually shorten an oil’s shelf life and make it taste bland, as sunlight speeds up oxidation. So you might actually notice a difference in taste if you switch to this IKEA kitchen staple!
Before you splurge on a more expensive dispenser, pick up the IKEA BRUGDHAJ oil bottle to give your kitchen a warm, homey feel and your meals a more flavorful start and finish.
