IKEA Added New Gorgeous Items to the MÄVINN Collection, and They Start at Just $5
IKEA is known for budget-friendly furniture that doesn’t skimp on quality, but the brand has also curated an impressive collection of collectible home decor as well. There’s always something eye-catching to adore, whether it’s gorgeous planters or a modern dishware set. And MÄVINN, which recently released its third series, is one such collection and features 18 pieces designed by IKEA’s Maria Vinka.
What Is IKEA MÄVINN?
IKEA’s MÄVINN pieces, which have been available since June 2023, are made in collaboration with skilled artisans to bring handmade, Scandi-inspired products to customers at a reasonable price while supporting social entrepreneurs in countries such as Bangladesh, India, Jordan, Thailand, and Indonesia.
The collection includes glazed stoneware vases, woven wall decorations, embroidered and tasseled pieces, textiles and grass weaving, and botanical prints. “MÄVINN products are about more than home furnishing — they’re sources of empowerment,” Magnus Nord, IKEA’s social entrepreneurship implementation leader, said in a blurb on IKEA’s website. “Every basket, rug and lampshade carries care and the pride of the artisans who are working toward not just financial independence, but also a more resilient future.”
While the entire collection, which dropped in early July is so gorgeous, there are a few favorites that deserve a shout-out. You might want to mark your calendar, though, as IKEA says the goal moving forward is to release a new collection every six months.
