This 2-in-1 IKEA Find Is Quietly Being Discontinued (It’s a Productivity Gem!)

As IKEA starts making room for new fall and holiday product releases, some of the brand’s long-standing customer-favorite items will be phased out. Case in point: It’s now your last chance to score IKEA’s RELATERA writing board and whiteboard set, which will be discontinued once the back-to-school hero is out of stock.

Priced at just $20, this gorgeous sage-green whiteboard and writing board set is the aesthetically pleasing studying companion that will take your work-from-home setup to the next level — whether you’re curating your college dorm room or trying to make your at-home work space a little bit more conducive to learning. The whiteboard — which measures 15.75 inches in length, 15 inches in width, and 3.75 inches in diameter — has curved edges and a little attached mint green shelf. You can store markers, erasers, paper clips, pens, pictures with magnets, and other office supplies inside.

Meanwhile, the matching writing board (which attaches in the back with an 11-inch width and 13-inch height design) has a curved surface, which makes it easy to take notes or write essays without any dreaded hand cramps. You can also take it off the whiteboard and use it directly on your desk (or bring it to bed or the sofa as a makeshift lap desk).

Unfortunately, one of the biggest drawbacks with the RELATERA line is that you can’t use it to its full potential without a matching RELATERA desk. That’s because the RELATERA board snaps directly onto the desk. In this case, it looks like you can’t snap the whiteboard and writing board directly onto your workspace unless you own this IKEA product. However, you can still hang it up on your walls with Command Strips, or just prop it up on your desk for easy access. Handy buyers might also be able to create a makeshift stand for it.

Measuring just 15.8 inches in length, 6.8 inches in width, and 1.9 inches in height, this compact whiteboard is an easy place to jot down notes or make to-do and grocery lists. It also has built-in storage (you can lift the whiteboard and put pens and more inside of it), but doesn’t feature a writing board for reading or writing when you’re on the sofa or in bed. (That might be better for your work-from-home setup, though.)
