Le Creuset is one of those expensive brands I think is totally worth the price, not only because its products are both beautiful and functional, but also because many of them serve multiple purposes, even if they’re not marketed that way. I’m specifically talking about kitchenware that can double as decor, whether it’s a condiment dish you can also use as a jewelry catchall or a serving platter you use as a coffee table centerpiece.

I own a couple of Le Creuset products, but the one I reach for the most is the brand’s Signature pitcher. It’s a great piece to have during spring and summer for outdoor entertaining, but I use mine all year any time a room in my apartment could use a visual pick-me-up. Keep reading to see how, and be sure to grab your own pitcher for the warmer months. At $50, it’s definitely one of Le Creuset’s best options.

What Is the Signature Pitcher?

With a capacity of a little under 2 quarts, this pitcher helps you serve summer drinks in style and display flowers all season long. Boasting a gorgeous mid-century design and LC’s signature colors, it’ll stand out in any kitchen. Most importantly, the pitcher is made of the brand’s high-density stoneware, which retains the temperature of warm or cold liquids. Like the Dutch oven, its material will last for a lifetime — and it can go in the dishwasher, too!

Additionally, the pitcher would make a great gift for just about any occasion — weddings, housewarmings, Mother’s Day, and so many other celebrations. Your giftee is bound to love one of the six pretty hues available, even if it’s just the classic white.

Why I Love the Signature Pitcher

I got my pitcher one year ago in the newly released “Peche” color, which is a pleasant coral-pink that’s perfect for this time of year. It has a gorgeous glaze and eye-catching gradient that make it stand out regardless of whether I place it on the kitchen counter or coffee table. When I first got the pitcher, I was using it for cold beverages, namely iced tea and fruit-infused water, as well as the occasional batch of sangria when friends visited. The contents of the pitcher would stay cold for hours; when I put ice in, I found that it took a long time to melt, too. So, my guests never had gross, room-temperature drinks.

My roommate also used the pitcher for mulled wine this past Thanksgiving, but once summer ends, I pretty much exclusively use it to hold flower bouquets. Winter is depressing, so I find that keeping a vibrant flower arrangement (in an equally vibrant vessel) on my entryway table or dresser helps combat the seasonal blues a little bit.

Now that summer is once again around the corner, I can’t wait to ramp my pitcher usage back up. I think it’s a wonderful value for $50, especially for how useful it is day-to-day. I highly recommend picking up one of your own and even grabbing another as a gift for your favorite hostess. It’s bound to impress, especially in the long run.
