If you’re anything like me, you might think that prepping for parties and the holidays is just as fun as the big day itself. For me, balloons and banners are the details that make any gathering I host feel special and personal. But when Party City went out of business earlier this year, I lost my go-to spot for balloons.

I don’t quite have the room for a personal helium tank in my apartment, so I’m thrilled to hear that Michaels is stepping up to the plate with its party offerings and unveiling a brand-new section that’ll make it my go-to party shopping headquarters from now on.

Everything You Need to Know About the New Party Shop at Michaels

According to a recent press release, Michaels is expanding its party offerings and launched The Party Shop, an all-new hub for all things hosting. As part of this store-within-a-store concept, over 700 balloon and party products will be available — plus, more than 79,000 additional options online — so you can find something for any theme, vibe, and guest list size.

If you’re not seeing this new aisle at your local Michaels yet, don’t worry. Each store will have a dedicated Balloon Bar, which is the perfect Party City replacement. Customizable balloon bundles and classic latex or foil options can be reserved there for pickup or even delivered straight to your door (and yes, same-day delivery is on the table).

Shoppers can find balloon bundles starting at just $9.99 and party supplies beginning at $0.99. The collection also features decor for party themes like western-inspired rodeo, as well as a line of blue gingham items.

And here’s a reason to celebrate before the party even starts: Michaels has cut the cost of their in-store birthday parties from $299 to a new starting price of $149. Between balloon deliveries, grab-and-go decor, and budget-friendly party packages, this new shop-within-a-shop makes throwing an event so much easier and a lot more fun.

Whether you’re planning a birthday, a themed dinner, or a cozy get-together at home, Michaels makes it easy to bring your ideas to life without the stress of running around for supplies. Check out some of my must-have picks, and keep an eye out for this all-new aisle at your local store!
