    Tamieka received her Bachelor's degree in social work from North Carolina A&T State University and her Master’s in social work with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health from Columbia University. While she didn’t take the traditional route to journalism, her passion for mental health and wellness led her to transition into writing to educate readers on the importance of integrating health and wellness into their day-to-day lives, which is why she joined the AT team.

    At Apartment Therapy, she covers a range of topics, including lifestyle, style, home tours, and real estate. Her previous work has been featured in Essence Girls-United, PopSugar, MindBodyGreen, and more.
