If there’s one thing I can always count on falling in love with during my next Target run, it’s statement lighting (and I’ve recently seen the internet go bananas for Target lamps, too). I’m thrilled to report that the design geniuses at Target are only continuing to hit on irresistible trends in 2026; I’ve actually spent the first two weeks of January obsessing over a handful of new lamps and outdoor lights that are sure to sell out.

You’ve likely noticed that botanical textiles like rattan, jute, and other woven finishes have dominated home design trends for a few years now. But Target’s latest decor drop brings this trend to new heights in a statement piece that I didn’t know I needed until I saw it: micro lamps that pack a serious decorative punch. And I’m not the only one who is freaking out over this adorable design.

“The CUTEST table lamp,” wrote Fallon McKinney of @fabfindswithfallon on a recent Instagram Reel that showcases the Threshold woven cordless table lamp. The best part? The 11-inch-tall lamp is portable and outdoor-friendly (hello, spring backyard hosting!).

Why I Love Threshold’s Woven Portable Cordless Table Light

I’ve been on the hunt for a chic bedside lamp for my studio-sized Manhattan apartment for over three years. I only have about a foot of clearance to play with, which means that many lights are simply too large for the space. Enter: Threshold’s Woven Portable Cordless Table Light. It’s as if Target has taken a gorgeous living room light and downsized it for small spaces like mine. The 7” circumference of this mini lampshade is the perfect size, and I know it’ll act as a wonderful accent piece even for those who have more space to play with.

This new design features a matching rattan body and shade, which adds a pop of texture on my own nightstand next to a neutral gray tufted headboard. But it could also work on shelves, side tables, or even outdoor seating areas.

I love that the Threshold piece adds instant ambience, as it comes ready with a dimmable bulb (three brightness settings!) that works well for mood lighting. And because I have so little space between my bed frame and the wall, the cordless feature is a godsend; I can simply recharge the battery in my living room when needed via a handy USB adapter (included!).

I can’t stop gushing about how perfect this piece is in my bedroom, and have sent my mother another lamp after I saw how chic it was in my own space. She’s already planning on purchasing another portable lamp to flank her game-night table in the family room — right next to her bar cart, as seen below.

If you’re not immediately in love with this mini lamp, don’t worry — Target has also previously launched full-sized table lamps that make the same use of gorgeous rattan details. A beloved release from Joanna Gaines’ Hearth & Hand with Magnolia line features a trendy dome lampshade that would look stunning in a home office (under $40!).

Plus, a larger accent lamp for living rooms is also in stores now, featuring a solid wood base that shoppers can’t get enough of. And Target loyalists will also find new cordless lanterns for backyards and porches in the same head-turning rattan finishes.

Take my word for it — these Target gems are sure to blow up in popularity soon. Run, don’t walk, to get your hands on a chic micro lamp that packs a major design punch this season.
