With the weather finally warming up (and staying nice out!), it’s once again time to start thinking about your garden. For all you raised bed gardeners, I found a new place for you to shop this season: Consider taking a peek at the Tractor Supply Co. website. After all, the farm supply store isn’t just for farmers.

If you have some yard space to work with and have been searching for the perfect raised bed to plant your veggies, flowers, and herbs in this season, it’s worth checking out Tractor Supply Co.’s GroundWork Galvanized Steel Planter that retails for under $60. It’s been selling like hotcakes. (In fact, it’s sold 54 times in the past five days, as of April 26.)

Why Raised Garden Beds?

Raised beds are a great alternative to planting directly in the ground because using them makes it much easier to control the soil mix your plants grow in, which is crucial for gardeners who may deal with acidic, rocky, or sandy soil that may not be habitable for some plants.

Raised beds also offer more space for better drainage than ground soil, preventing root rot, and you’re less likely to run into weed and pest problems when planting in raised beds.

What Makes This Raised Garden Bed a Great Choice

Some people build their own raised beds, but if you want to get your radishes, cucumbers, herbs — or zinnias, pansies, and petunias if you’re more of a flower person — going ASAP, this ready-made modular steel setup is a great option.

“Great quality, well-made instructions were very easy to follow,” one Tractor Supply user wrote in their review. “Great product at a great price.” The bed is 3×6 feet, but it’s easy to add onto or subtract sections depending on how large your garden is.

Steel beds are great for temperature control, and their thick coating helps them withstand the elements season after season.

You could be the 100th or 105th person to buy the steel bed this week, or you could opt for the same bed in this adorable green, springy hue. Either way, I think you just found your new favorite garden toy.

Happy planting!
