Temi Coker’s New Walmart Home Decor Line Is Giving “Family Heirloom” Vibes (Plus, It’s Perfect for Pattern Play!)
We’re officially reaching the dullest, darkest, and coldest part of the winter here in the Northeastern U.S., and I find myself longing for vibrancy. Lucky for me, bright colors and bold patterns are still going strong in the design world for 2026 — and that’s exactly why this latest buzzy home decor drop first caught my eye.
Nigerian-American multidisciplinary artist Temi Coker released his first collection with Walmart late last month, and boy, is bold an understatement! The 18-piece Temi Coker Home Collection is a celebration of color, texture, and joy. It’s also a celebration of culture and family: “My children are the product of two cultures — African and African American,” Coker said in a press release. “I wanted to create heirlooms that celebrate the beauty in that duality.”
The textures and patterns of each of the pieces were inspired by the lively culture, vibrant textiles, and intricate braids of Nigeria. Featuring throw blankets and pillows, rugs, and decorative vases, this collection was designed for the living room. As Coker explains, the living room is “the heart of our home, where the majority of our family memories happen.” And now with this new collection on the market, you too can make new family memories in style.
These modern heirlooms are truly and refreshingly affordable, with prices ranging from $14-320. Check out a few of my own favorite pieces from the collection below.
